PFPDL is engaged in the financial products distribution business since 2006 and is a registered Insurance Intermediary with Insurance Regulatory & Development Authority and is licensed as Corporate Agent with Max Life Insurance, MANIPAL CIGNA Health Insurance, Royal Sundaram General Insurance ,Liberty General Insurance and Aetna Health Card.

A journey of 90 years began with a single step
It all began in 1932. The Swadeshi movement was in full swing. Swayed by the spirit of Swadeshi, Shri Radhashyam Roy, a primary school teacher in Narayanganj, Bangladesh started provident insurance business with an aim to reduce dependence on the European Insurance Companies and established the Peerless Insurance Company Limited with an initial subscribed capital of only Rs. 300
With the support of like-minded idealist friend Shri K.K. Chatterjee, Peerless soon carved out a niche for itself in the market. In 1935, the company shifted its base to Calcutta — the erstwhile seat of socio-economic power in the British Raj. After the enactment of Insurance Act in 1938, Peerless switched over to the Life Insurance business. In 1947, with its extending footprint, the Company rechristened itself The Peerless General Insurance & Investment Company Limited. To reflect the expanding scope of Peerless business in 1974, the name of the company was again changed to The Peerless General Finance & Investment Company Limited.
As more and more people found confidence to invest in Peerless, the Company unveiled a plethora of unique savings schemes. Shri Radhashyam Roy pioneered the concept of doorstep service and Peerless agents travelled to the remotest of locations to service customers. Later on, the company also diversified into different service sectors.
